Overview: With a nod to coffee mills in old French cafes, the Peugeot Design Lab Coffee Grinder offers a modern and practical twist on this classic design.
Created in both manual and electric versions, it fits our individual lives and desires. For those who enjoy the tactile act of grinding the beans by hand a crank on top enables that traditional gesture while for those who prefer efficiency and swiftness, an electric motor is available at the touch of a button.
The design is simple and clean, with forms that serve to highlight the function and use. Inspired by the Peugeot design language, it has a scalloped surface at the bottom which reduces the volume of the mill to the essential minimum. The upper transparent part displays the coffee beans while indicating the filling level. After the beans are milled in the central area they fall to the lower part of the mill, arriving into a specially treated wooden receptacle.
Constructed in metal and wood, it is part precise and mechanical, part warm and sensual and at home in either a classic or contemporary interior setting.

Overview: Although the term “cabin” usually suggests something rustic, not all cabins are like that. This one is in fact very modern. It can be found on San Juan Island in Washington and was designed by Olson Kundig Architects. It has a very strong connection with its surroundings. The cabin is encased in glass and has three wooden decks that serve as shutters.
