Year: 2031-2040

Overview: In current information era, wireless technologies are linking people together with a distance. However, it also becomes an excuse for not meeting each other. I believe, the technologies in the near future should embed in such a way that bonds people physically and emotionally, while hiding its form in the background.

Studies show that individualism leads to people living alone till an older age. This brings the problem of eating and cooking unaccompanied. In this situation, many people gradually get into unhealthy eating styles, such as consuming too much fast food.

C+D takes advantages of social computing, proposing a “new” lifestyle of cooking and eating together. With the ongoing trend of posting photos and videos of food on many social media, why not turn this into a motivation for actually gathering together! By using supporting services, these messages become more intriguing that eventually leads to the action of users visiting each other more often. These positive actions will also accumulate virtual points for users, which can be exchanged with discounts or similar privileges offered by Electrolux. In this way, an eco-system of healthy lifestyle is formed. With further researches, more detailed proposal of this product-service design will be shaped.
