Contemporary Meadow Refuge

Categories: Architecture Home Interior

Year: Present-2020

Overview: The house is a tranquil refuge and a wonderful holiday home. It offers views in two directions: east and west. To the west, you can see rocks and trees and to the east you can admire the mountains in the distance. The house is not very big. It has an elongated, rectangular shape with clean and simple lines characteristic to modern and contemporary designs.

Both the interior and the exterior of the house are covered in wood. This allows it to seamlessly blend into the landscape and it also makes it feel warm and cozy. The house is elevated off the ground because of the sloppy terrain and also because of the humidity.

Inside, the décor is minimalist and elegant. The skylight above the bed offers beautiful views of the clear sky at night and the huge glass wall which separates the living area from the deck creates a strong connection with the outdoors.
